Although I often mention my husband, Domenico, as the bringer of such things as freshly cured pancetta, wild boar from Umbria , and other edible goodies, I rarely talk about what he does when not feeding me. He’s an architect and specializes in Italian restoration: things like farmhouses, castles and villages get turned into into homes and hotels. He also was my co-author on my last book, Italian Rustic.
This month, Domenico's most recent project, a castle in Umbria, is featured in Architectural Digest. The castle belongs to newspaper owner Evgeny Lebedev. Domenico worked on the project with talented interior designer Martyn Lawrence Bullard and the article, which features before and after shots as well as the super kitchen Domenico designed, is 8 pages long.
