It's been our local for 15 years. No pretense, just great food and warm service. I know it technically wasn't, but it always felt like a family business. We preferred to eat in the front room near the pizza ovens. Most times the large family table had friends of the restaurant, sauce-smeared kids or staff eating and socializing. For the length of your meal, Angeli made LA feel like a small, friendly Italian town -- no easy feat. We went often, but I wish we'd gone more. Much love and best wishes to Evan and all of her families.
